“From glow to blaze, one knob at a time.”

SPC Ember is the Spectral Colors take on analog heat — a Saturn-class multiband saturator taken further. Three allpass-aligned bands each carry two saturation models from a bank of twelve colours (Tube, Tape, Transformer, Transistor, Diode, Fold, Warm, Crush, Sine, Cheby, Germanium, ClassA) and a Blend knob that morphs the pair into something new, with per-band drive, trim, dynamics, tone, pan and width. The Tape Machine adds wow, flutter and speed-dependent HF loss across four machine types from Studio to Cassette, a reverse-tape stutter, and the Noise Lab — hiss with shape, colour, stereo coherence, a gate that fades it in the gaps and signal-keyed modulation noise. A Prism-Q EQ with draggable points rides the wet signal, its outer bands pinned to the crossovers; an analog filter-and-compressor stage adds glue; and the Tape / Analog / Spectral stages can be reordered freely. The spectral engine is the deep end: dry, wet body and the added harmonics themselves each get independent tilt, shimmer and denoise. Two LFOs, an envelope follower and a six-slot mod matrix put the whole console in motion, watched by the Liquid Ember Cymatics particle field glowing Bordeaux to gold. Oversampling to 4x, bit-exact bypass, idle sleep, presets with A/B, and fourteen console themes finish it.

  • Theme Pack — fourteen console themes: the signature Bordeaux plus thirteen shared palettes from Cyberpunk to Game Boy, re-skinning everything down to the cymatics.
  • Store release hardening — parameter and state handling verified against the official CLAP validator.
v1.0.02026-07-19
  • Release — a three-round performance pass (~28% faster on the typical path) plus installer and manual.
v0.14.02026-07-19
  • Modulation & Models — two LFOs, an envelope follower and a six-slot mod matrix across 22 destinations; four new saturation models bring the bank to twelve.
v0.13.02026-07-19
  • Multiband Motion — per-band dynamics, tone, pan and width.
  • Tape Noise Lab — shaped, gated, coherent hiss with signal-keyed modulation noise.
v0.11.02026-07-19

Made to be played

Every knob morphs the sound.

SPC Ember is built for real-time sound design. Turn a control and the whole signal reacts at once — spectral colour, granular texture and modulation respond live, right in your DAW. Nothing is baked in: every parameter is fully automatable and MIDI-mappable, so you can draw evolving movement, morph a vector-scope signal, and lock in a one-of-a-kind sound no preset could give you.
