SPC Time Freak
A delay that bends time, not just repeats it.
“Echoes with a physics engine.”
SPC Time Freak starts where delays usually end. Five characters set the base — Digital, Tape, Diffuse, Pong and Cosmos — with cross-fed stereo lines and host tempo sync down to dotted and triplet divisions. Then Time Morph opens the spectral engine on the feedback path: bend, stretch and twist the repeats in the frequency domain so every echo comes back transformed, not just quieter. Three flavours of ducking keep the mix clean — dry-triggered, sidechain and spectral — and the wet path carries a full colour section: the Distortion Twins (an anti-distortion and a heavy twin with a blend between them, plus a mini Prism EQ), Noise Control for the hiss and grit of the repeats, and a five-curve Wave Shaper (Soft, Hard, Fold, Sine, Crush) with drive and bias. All of it lives on the indigo Chrono Console: a living star portal where each engine gets its own revolving orbit — feedback rings, diffuse dust, morph warps — a pixel-sand hourglass that drains faster as time distorts, a black-glass CRT terminal, and the blueberry mascot. Factory presets (including Jyro’s own "Voices in my Head"), named user saves, seven console themes and a serious idle-sleep engine — 21× lighter the moment the tail goes silent — complete it.

Latest updates
Actively developed — recent fixes and improvements:
- Store release hardening — parameter and state handling verified against the official CLAP validator, so every host restores your session identically.
- Themes — seven console chassis themes from Indigo to Terminal; the star portal, stereoscope and CRT keep their vivid dark-glass look in every one.
- Living Portal — the star portal became engine-reactive: a white-hot sun with one orbit per engine, each appearing only while its engine runs.
- CRT + polish rounds — the black-phosphor terminal screen, the pixel-sand hourglass, the blueberry mascot and the credits card.
- Performance — idle sleep skips the whole engine once the tail is truly silent (21× lighter), never cutting a live echo.
- Wave Shaper — the final feature pillar: five bounded curves on the wet repeats with drive and bias, joining Time Morph, the Distortion Twins, Noise Control and the three duckers.

Made to be played
Every knob morphs the sound.
SPC Time Freak is built for real-time sound design. Turn a control and the whole signal reacts at once — spectral colour, granular texture and modulation respond live, right in your DAW. Nothing is baked in: every parameter is fully automatable and MIDI-mappable, so you can draw evolving movement, morph a vector-scope signal, and lock in a one-of-a-kind sound no preset could give you.
